The PEP Seniors Therapeutic Day Program (PEP) is designed for older adults who live independently. Participants may be frail or have suffered a life-altering event requiring rehabilitation, which may impact their ability to remain in their own homes. As well, PEP’s goal is to support caregivers by giving them the time for much needed respite.
The Senior Therapeutic Day program has two primary goals directed toward the enrichment of the lives of both the participants and their caregivers; (1) to enhance and/or maintain the functioning level (physical, social, emotional and cognitive) of older adults on an individual basis in concert with input from their healthcare providers and family, and (2) to provide respite, encouragement and education for family/caregivers of our participants.
The program offers clients socialization opportunities, emotional support, physical therapy and cognitive stimulation. There is a daily fee of $35.00 which included a nutritional break and a hot lunch. The program runs on Thursdays at 91 Cornelia Street, West, Suite 110 Smiths Falls from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Quote from a Client’s Daughter;
“I am so thankful that my Mom can attend the PEP Program. Often is is very difficult to find the activities that PEP offers in one locale. PEP allows my Mom to socialize with others, enjoy a wide variety of activities and outings, and under a watchful eye of very loving and caring professionals. I wish more seniors could participate in this very worthwhile program. Keep up the great work!”
