Much has changed in the past 50 years, however our recipe has remained as true and as delicious as ever. Our Harvey’s grill-masters charbroil each burger to perfection at 600 degrees Fahrenheit on an open-flame grill. I am Scott MacDonald, a PGA of Canada Golf Professional and owner of Juniper Fairways, which is a 9 hole public par 3 golf course including a driving range.
I started my career in golf in 1980 when I enrolled in the CPGA Apprentice Training Program. I qualified for the Canadian Professional tour in 1986.
I purchased the land in 1989 to develop what is now known as Juniper Fairways. Starting with a driving range and spending numerous hours studying golf course construction methods, he has created a par 3-9 hole course which has six pairs of tee off blocks on each hole.
Since 2002 Juniper Fairways has hosted small golf tournaments for charities like the Alzheimer Society and the Kids Help Phone. The course offers different challenges to all golfers whether they are a beginner or an expert.
Since 2006 I have been the Professional; Instructor for the Junior Golf Camp at Lombard Glen Golf & Country Club held the second week of July each year, in conjunction with the “Take a Kid to the Course Week”.
I have also run a similar Junior Golf Camp at Juniper Fairways the third week of July at a cost of $150.00 per week giving the students not only help with putting, hitting the ball, but lesions in golf etiquette. A 9 hole golf game is also played at the end of the weeks lessons.
Private lessons are available for $60.00, groups of two at $100.00 or groups of three at $35.00 each or groups of four at $30.00 each.
I have offered to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization free golf for any child accompanied by their big brother or big sister, giving them the opportunity of spending time together and in many cases learning the great game of golf.
I volunteer my time to the Royal Canadian Legion during the winter months whether it be in the kitchen or helping with repairs.
Open as of April 1st any day that is plus 10 degrees C

Since 1955, we’ve proudly served the world some of its favourite food. Along the way, we’ve been more than a part of history – we’ve created it. From our famous Big Mac sandwich, Fries, and Chicken McNuggets to the launch of McCafé espresso-based coffee drinks, it’s been an exciting journey…and we’re just getting started. Robert Firlotte was raised in Smiths Falls but left in the spring of 1996 to make his way to Alberta. He worked at the Banff Springs Hotel for three years and learned a ton working in various parts of the hotel – including experience with one of the hotels Executive Chefs. Prior to that he had worked at Rob Roy’s in Smiths Falls for a few years. His career in media as a cameraman for 16 years was an interesting one, but after being laid off, decided to return to his hometown and pursue his passion for food.
Robert’s partner, Laurel, also brings restaurant experience – as well as an extensive marketing and customer service background to T’s Chips …and more. Laurel was born & raised in Calgary but don’t hold that against her. Her family emmigrated from Ireland in 1823 to Scarborough, and have lived in Ontario & Alberta, since. Her family roots are those in farming, which influences her in terms of high-quality, healthy ingredients.
A lot of the inspiration for the menu come from the kids (10 and 13) because the question always arises – what are we going to eat? Their palates aren’t as sophisticated (yet) so coming up with simple, healthy food they will happily eat, is a little more challenging. We believe it’s good to involve them with cooking so they learn how to make things for themselves, expand their food tastes and work on their reading & math skills.
James AE Perkins began his business for ‘Two Guys For Lunch’ in Smiths Falls Cornelia Court in 2005. Since then, they have been such a success they opened another restaurant in Perth in 2011! They are well known for their fun personalities and delicious homemade dishes. Their Specialties are lunch and Coffee. In addition, another service they provide is Catering. They can create a catering that you will be pleased to host, a 48 Hours notice is requested for all orders.
